My photos from the month of January, as part of my monthly Rhythm of Life project. I like to close out every month with a handful of images that speak to that month. It’s interesting for me to reflect on the season at hand and to see visible and subtle differences as time passes. See all Rhythm of Life posts here.
All that beautiful snow from December melted and turned into flooding in January. January was otherwise a dreary, gray, cold month. Thank God it’s time for February!

Great photos as ever. I love the second one of the river – very atmospheric and very dark; somehow reminiscent of both the Lady of Shallot and Where the Wild Roses Grow (!). Awesome.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I think I need to hire you to teach me photography. Amazing!
Awww, thank you, guys!!
Lovely pics, as always!
Thanks for sharing.
You’ve managed to get nice bright pictures, even in winter! The red and green of the last two photos made my day – little bits of colour against the grey monotony of winter.
My favorite one: the moss wall, and not just for the DoF. It looks hopeful to me, and I like that.
